I have a BNI008Z connected to a Fanuc robot controller via Ethernet. It has 3 IO Link devices conneced and the IO Link setting changes to standard when the IO block power goes off. Any idea on how to set the configuration permemenently on the IO Block?

You need to use a third party software such as RSNetworx. Then you can configure the parameters of the IO block from the scan list. This is the only way to set the configuration stack of the robot controller. Not possible to changge it from the teach pendant.
When you setup the port configuration from webserver, it is temporaty. Stays untile the next power cycle.
